Super Hector Visits GOOGLEPLEX

Super Hector visits google plex!
On a recent trip to San Jose, California, me and my buddy Derick Brol decided to pay a visit to those cool guys at Google!

“Actually we didn’t find something on a Google search and, since we were so close, we decided to go and ask them”

DUH! This was Derick’s idea of a great joke which in my opinion, really is funny! We were greeted by Google’s personnel in charge of attending visitors, and they explained to us all the details about our visit, all the things we could see and do. And by the way… these guys are ever-attentive to their fans, to greet them as they come in and, like in our case, to intercept them on the way to the visitor’s lobby. We indeed had a lot of fun! (not as much as we would have liked, though!) Now, for a very interesting conclusion to this story… read on!

(in the picture: Derick and Super Hector, planning their visit,muahahah!) We are planning to visit Google! MuahahaHAhAHahaA! Just the fact of snapping a picture at googleplex was really a great “badge” to carry around for me. As you know Google is one of the companies (for their spirit, achievement, culture and top people) that I personally admire the most! So for me it was a thrill JUST TO BE THERE. Now for the interesting twist in the conclusion of this post: We WERE on our way to the visitors lobby snapping pictures as crazy… and we WERE at Googleplex, and we WERE intercepted by the guy in charge of intercepting various uninvited visitors! The friendly and ever courteous security guard then had this brief conversation with us:

Google-guard: “Hi guys, can we help you?”
Guatemalan dudes: “Yes, we are here to see the Googleplex, what is the procedure for visitors?”
Google-guard: “Ahh… mmm Well, there is NO PROCEDURE, because there are NO VISITORS allowed!?!?”
Guatemalan dudes: (SHOCKED and crying): “Ohh well, thank you very much we’ll come back when we get us a nice VIP invitation pass… “
Google-guard: “Sure, you are welcome!”

As you can see we really did not go into the Googleplex (buhuhuuhu + 1,000 sad faces) And so our story ends with us barely getting our foot in the door. Let me say that the guard was extremely corteous and nice and was also heart-broken in the fact that he could not let us in. Nevertheless we made the Terminator-Vow “I WILL BE BACK!!!” and just being there… was really a great experience!

P.S. I got word that some VP at Google got a hold of our company’s most recent hiring campaign ad, and apparently liked it! In the ad we say literally “We worship Google!” And apparently he might be coming here to Guatemala, we shall see if we get a chance to talk and get invited over to the googleplex.
